I didn't have a problem with the frame rate on the original Killzone. I completed it without a problem. In fact, I enjoyed it enough to play through it again! Obviously, KZ2, will be far superior in every regard though. I also, can't wait for Resistance 2.
Naughty Dog in their own words said, they only used one third of PS3's power in Uncharted. And it's sold nearly 2 million copies so there is bound to be a sequel! I really love that game! Can't wait to see what they do, with the 2!
So just don't worry about buying FPS anymore, relax!
What I find excites me the most is atmoshpere. Cries from your fallen comrades, people frantically running for cover, and sounds that surround you. Also, story. It has to have a good story. It gives you the reason to be fighting after all. Killzone 2 looks and sounds right to me!
Killzone 2 environments are well suited to the gameplay!
People are complaining it lacks colour. Maybe you want flowers in the window sills! I would rather have the PS3 working hard on physics, animation, lighting and effects like fire and smoke, which all look incredible. It is a warzone after all. Check out real life footage of warzones across the globe. Tell me how much colour you see! I'm just glad it's not trying to copy the candy colours of the Halo series!
Killzone 1 was not crap. I loved the story and the characters! And I loved the way your fellow NPC's helped you out in a tight situation. If you were hurt, while you were healing they would run up and kill some badass, for you. Loved that! Anyway, Killzone 2 will be continuing the story, and I want to see what happens.
It will become THE standard, people! And exactly what is a revolutionary new FPS anyway? And who cares if borrows from other FPS? The Limited Edition Killzone with it's metal case still sits proudly in my collection! Sure, it wasn't perfect, but I still really enjoyed the experience.
why are you even in this thread making a comment? It's more like, every other game will look like crap, when Killzone 2 is released. Yes, especially on 360!
To see what Microsoft has up it's sleeve for it's NEXT console. Considering they have failed to actually turn a profit the last two generations. I think they will still have trouble competing with PS3. Sony have all the bases already covered!
I guess it's about time Microsoft brought out the XBOX 720. The problem is, they haven't made money from the last two generations. They dropped all support for the original XBOX, in favour of 360. You can expect they'll do the same again with 360. They hate throwing more money on a losing format! And it's obvious, they are losing again!
Any game that runs inferior on PS3 is just a shoddy 360 port, PS3 exclusives prove that without a doubt. So, 360 ports are bad for PS3! The sooner we can kill 360 the better. Less ports. More exclusives.
I have played countless Blu-rays(own 35), and owned and played over 30 games over the past year. I've used my PS3 to surf the web and store my photos, videos and my library of CD's. It still runs quiet. And guess what, I haven't had one single problem with it. Unlike the 360, which does not have beautiful architecture. The guy who wrote this article is a biased idiot. And who cares. The only market in the world where 360 is still dominating is America. And that is slowing down. Owned!
The games you mentioned are all FPS. Please, name one adventure game that comes close to Uncharted on 360. You can't. You are owned my friend! Go back to playing FPS after FPS after FPS after .......................(infini ty).

Yes it does. And it has been hailed as the BEST looking console game on the market. And it streams it all from the disc as well, no installation at all. You show me a game that has better water effects.
But you are right! We've gotten use to the current next gen graphics, so what they're going to SLOW DOWN. Who's going to want to buy the next 360-Wii or PSwii. Every generation we are given better graphics, they can't go backwards, they'll lose userbase, otherwise. Hey, lets hope 720 isn't twice as noisy, hey!
I'm comparing old with old. I don't see anything new about the Wii at all. Sorry, did you say next gen? The Wii-mote is a remote control version of the PS2 Eye Toy which I still play. The difference being with the Eye Toy you don't even need a remote. How's that for high tech! The Wii-mote just doesn't excuse the lack of quality in most Wii titles, or the huge price tag that they come with. Even the Wii is overpriced for it's hardware. It's a sorry future we're building, if we are all going ...
It's like saying old movies are just as good as new movies, because the stories are better. Or why should I buy a new CD, when I can listen to the old stuff which is cheaper. I say why can't you have both. I love the old games, I have quite an extensive collection. They bring back fond memories, but I also love my PS3. But here's a point. If people really just wanted to play old games, there would be no need to even buy the Wii!
